North Florida Regional Medical Center Expansion
The prefabrication division of Wal-Mark Contracting recently completed the 3 story vertical expansion of the south tower. There was approximately 28,000sf of panel made in the Tampa factory that were then shipped to Gainesville and installed by tower crane. One of the biggest challenges was the need for all windows and reveals to align with the existing structure. Wal-Mark laser scanned the structure to locate existing window openings and reveals, then used this information to create panel joint and window opening layouts for the new structure.
